Flower Shows
Perhaps the best known flower show in the UK and perhaps the world is the
RHS Chelsea Flower
Show. The next event is not on until May 2009. The 19th and 20th is
for members only 21st, 22nd and 23rd is open to the public. RHS stands for
Royal Horticultural Society.
Chelsea is a very fashionable part of London, just north of the river. The
RHS also run the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, the RHS Spring Flower
Show Cardiff and the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park.
Another major event is the Southport
Flower Show held this year between 21st and 24th August. The show
is one of the largest shows in the UK and has been running for 79 years.
