About this County Events Calendar and
Event Services Guide
County Calendar is devoted to promoting and supporting events and
event services (Venues and Accommodation, Organisers and Planners,
Entertainers, Support Services and Exhibitors).
One of our main aims is to create an environment where people in
the events community can help and support each other. We want to
encourage well researched, planned, highly organised and effectively
delivered events, that are profitable, fun and safe.
We also like to encourage people to look to their local area for
the services they need, which is why the site is structured the
way it is. This is where the "County" in the name comes
from. Listed below are some of the key types of people and organisations
we would like to aim to assist. |
Event organisers or planners
This site is an excellent place to promote your future events.
Simply register your details on the
site, then add all your future event listings (as long as they are
taking place in the UK). All types of activities are welcome, fetes,
sales, tournaments, races, shows, business breakfasts, conferences,
fairs, festivals, etc.
If you are focused on a particular sector, perhaps voluntary sector
events or public sector events, we would like to hear from you.
Exhibitors at events
If you attend events as an exhibitor you will find the contact
details within the site invaluable. Once registered
you will be able to see website addresses and contact telephone
numbers for the events people already listed.
Exhibitors are the life blood of many events and it is important
that event planners or managers can find your details. |
Visiting events
County Calendar is an ideal resource for finding what's on in your
region, county or town. Select your region and then select your
county from the menu that appears on the right.
Venues, Accommodation, Support services, Entertainers etc)
If you run an event service organisation, whether it is a venue,
an support service, your an entertainer or event planner and are
based in the UK, we would love to see you listing your details on
the site - so that the other members of the events community can
contact you.
A tip for you
If you want more internal links to your listing, simply encourage
people in your local town or county to list their events or event
services too, equally if you encourage people who run similar events
to list, your listings may be displayed along side theirs. The more
people in one area or within one category, the more potential links
to you. |
"Our
main focus is the customer. We want the people registered on the
site to get value for money, both through the contacts they make
and information we and other customers supply. Quality and easy
of use are key. I hope to use my previous experience to good effect
with County Calendar.
Subscribe to our weekly What's on Guide
It is nice to be kept informed when new events are being added
in a region or regions that you have an interest in. By subscribing
to this feed, you will receive an email at the beginning of the
week, whenever a new event has been listed in one of the regions
you select.
If you are registered on the site and publishing events and event
service data, you will already be on this list. You do not need
to be registered, in order to receive this free email feed.
When you list an event on the site, everyone interested in that
region and subscribed to the list, will get an email informing them
about the new event. |
